If you take one thing away from this review is that if you want to retain your sanity, you need a wedding planner and if you want the best wedding ever, you absolutely should hire Erica as your wedding planner. I take pride in being the type A nutjob planner for parties, trips, what have you. Planning a wedding is 200 times harder. You want everything to go exactly as you planned it because this is (hopefully) only going to happen once in your life and you’re probably shelling out a stupid amount of money for it. Erica not only takes into account the significance of the event throughout the entire process, but she simultaneously makes you feel at ease the entire time and actually makes it enjoyable.

Once Erica got a sense of who we were as a couple, our personalities, and generally what we liked, her vendor selections were on point and it made it that much easier to decide on who to hire. She also helped us stay organized and kept our to-do list limited to what we needed to decide on at any given time and allowed us to not be overwhelmed by an unmanageable laundry list of decisions to make.

On the day, Erica and her assistant Aaliyah were a well-oiled machine and made everything go as planned. Even the things that didn’t go exactly as planned (and there will be at least one thing…it’s unavoidable), they handled everything so well that no one noticed. One of the biggest worries I had was how everything we decided on, purchased, etc. was going to come together.

When we walked into the room where our reception was held before the wedding and got to see everything in place, I was truly stunned, ecstatic, [insert every other positive adjective here]. Everything was how I envisioned it in my mind, but couldn’t articulate. I honestly think Erica can read minds.

During the reception, Erica and Aaliyah were somehow in several places at once. They were dealing with vendors, the venue staff, and yet somehow always made sure I had a glass of champagne in my hand at all times.

After the wedding, pretty much everyone we spoke to said that our wedding was the best one they’ve ever been to (their own included). Erica had a HUGE amount to do with that.

At the end of the day (or, really, the end of the 18 months), Erica is a top-notch planner and truly a wonderful person. Hire. Her.
